Frozen black cherries were on sale, and I have been dying to make cherry pie now that it is warm out. So I bought a bunch! So here is my filling recipe!
It all started when I made cherry pie filling... And then my husband told me he only likes fresh cherries. So, cheesecake with the option of adding cherry pie filling it was for dessert! This recipe does NOT need a springform pan(because honestly, who has those just lying around?).
Let me share with you the pie crust recipe I grew up with... 3 ingredients and however long it takes you to roll out your crusts is how long it takes. No waiting till it cools, no advance planning. Just lots of yummy dough.
